Insert witty title describing my weekend here.

Considering the death of my tagboard for roughly three or four days (until Lorro was kind enough to revive it), I feel quite obliged to let the world in on the going-ons of my considerably normal life so far (no earthquakes or dancing green men, nope).

The previous Friday saw me in school for a History-Geography project meeting. The meeting went considerably well, by standards, considering how we've pretty much gotten our History-half down. In the dim, dusty light I saw the library from a different point of view; silent, without the common shuffling whispers as on regular school days, the harsh white fluorescence toned down into dusty spotlights on the empty tables. It left me quite disoriented for a moment, when I first marched up to the doors to discover that the library might have been closed.

P/S. If anyone has a long, historical story about Ang Mo Kio that you're just dying to share, I'm all ears.

The afternoon then brought me, on a complete spontaneous trip, to Novena with Val, where we spent most of the time conversing over Pepper Lunch (can I help it if I savour my food? XD), Bubble Tea, Body Shop samples and a variety of other shops I was dragged into looked through with her. It was really happyful, those moments as though we were young and dumb (well, we're still dumb, but a smarter kind of dumb) and together at all times of the day. Brought me back to the whole BFF scene which, in the rush of Secondary Syllabus, I had come to miss. And of course, I think I will refrain from mentioning the topics we discussed, hem hem, but it was enjoyable all the same.

After which we tramped back to her place, singing most of the way (Valerie Khoo, one of the few to hear me sing properly and improperly. Huzzah! And if you're wondering, no, I can't hit the notes on Seasons of Love, thankyuhverrmush) and swinging our umbrellas all over the place. The next part of the afternoon was whiled away talking, playing with Miffy the other hamster (I think she was Miffy, cause she looked like it; Poofy was the one that well, got into a fight), and listening to music. And talking some more. Once again, fun-ness, and if I may venture, a slight melancholy. I'd forgotten how long it'd been since we'd last went out and talked so much together, and it shocked me to realize that we didn't know each other's tastes in music. I guess I'd taken our time together for granted, really, and let myself get too wrapped up in Life, in general.

As for the evening, well. Let's just say that without a certain someone (I believe that only those in Learning Point would understand) present, the evening was certainly quite enjoyable (and quite peaceful). And I have to admit, I have a newfound respect for Renjie. He is more insightful than I have given him credit for. Yay for hope in Singaporean men!

Saturday was spent wrapping Camilla's birthday present and being chaffeured specifically to Plaza Singapura where I was supposed to go for her Birthday Lunch at a non-existant Pizza Hut which I later realized with the help of Lin Chuch, was located in BUKIT TIMAH PLAZA. Doh. But all the same, I got there intact, only to fling myself into a sea of sec fours most of whom I did not have any inkling of relationship with, save for Camilla herself, Tiara and later Yvonne and Farhana. Cherie popped by for all of half a minute, and despite rumours that Fang would pop by, well. Let's just say that I only had Tiara for company, though I managed to hold up a conversation with another two sec fours for a leetle while. All the same, I guess it was fun in the way that it shoved me out of the house for awhile, and to see Camilla all happy with her Dunce-Birthday-Hat (as Yvonne put it) was quite happyfying.

Dear Camilla,
I'm so happy to know that you like Carol Ann Duffy! And I'm even happier to know that you like the poem, even though I know it probably measures up to your poetry as a grain of rice would measure up to a, uh, box of chocolates! :D Once again, Happy Happy Birthday! May you have many happy returns of the day and have a splendifluous sixteenth!

P/S. Don't worry, the Birthday Lunch was cool! Just a little intimidated by the Sec Fours I guess. Haha.

After I had excused myself from the Birthday Lunch, I found myself wandering around Bukit Timah Plaza (and surprisingly, in Popular where I read books on O-level Biology). I managed to do a little sourcing for Teachers' Day, so it wasn't for naught. And of course, a whole bunch of pens from Popular which I have deprived myself of (did I mention how much new pens - 'specially the nice inky ones - make me happy?) and a Dream Dictionary (spur of the moment, don't ask).

And today during tuition, I used my nice new pens.

And was very happy indeed.

IT IS ENDED. =D
