Chemistry.
J is an atom.
J exists in a molecule.
J is happy. She lives with other atoms. They hold her up and she holds them up. She is stable and can carry on in existence.
One day, J is separated from the other atoms through a series of chemical reactions.
The molecule is broken down into simpler substances. The atoms join together to form their own molecules and float away.
But due to a calculation error, J is unable to bond with another atom in order to restabilize.
J is alone. J is unstable. J is unable to carry on in existence and will self destruct eventually.
Now the time is ticking.
J knows that there are other atoms out there. J knows that she can join them and survive.
But at the same time the other atoms are too far away and J cannot reach them.
And now the time is ticking.
